Monsignor Edward (Ted) Dunne D.S.M., R.I.P.

I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken to have just learned of the passing of Monsignor Edward (Ted) Dunne. To say that Ted Dunne was a friend would be the understatement of this or any century. He wasn’t just a very close to myself and my family, he was that and so much more to Dunboyne for so very long. Ted first worked in Dunboyne in the 1960s/70s before being deployed to the Lebanon where he served as Chaplain to the Defence Forces where he was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal (DSM) before returning to these parts to serve as Parish … Continue reading Monsignor Edward (Ted) Dunne D.S.M., R.I.P.

The Soup Spoon Farmer And Comeback Artist

Naturally, farming like almost everything else in life, has to be done slightly differently when operating out of a wheelchair. KIERNAN Continue reading The Soup Spoon Farmer And Comeback Artist

Every little helps…I suppose

Suffice to say it was one of ‘Those’ days today – when everything that could possibly go wrong did so. However, some semblance of productivity was retrieved with the sowing of the last of the cabbage plants and the beginning of what looks like being a fairly lengthy process of assembling the knapsack sprayer. Now all we need is decent weather to use it in! AN SB PARTNERSHIP PRODUCTION VIDEOGRAPHY & EDITING BY: SUSAN M. KIERNAN Continue reading Every little helps…I suppose
